The community firewood day will be held on November 14 this year and will be similar to past years. Anyone who knows of a neighbour –  either a senior or someone who is otherwise in need – is invited to submit names for the draw to receive a free load of firewood.

Anyone wishing to come out and help load trucks will also receive a free load, as will the people who come out with trucks to do the deliveries. If you have already signed up for this year, your name is already on the list and there is no need to sign up again.

The firewood will be a mix species of species from the logging that is currently under way in the Coulter Bay/Carrington area of the community forest. The wood is green (freshly cut and very wet), so it would be better used as firewood for next winter.
